The purpose of the Community Education Department is to:
  • Develop a sense of total community and to promote democratic thinking through a widely based (geographical and special interest) Community Advisory Council.
  • Promote meaningful involvement of the total community in the identification and resolution of school and community needs and problems.
  • Mobilize all human and financial resources of the community to meet the needs and wants of the people in the total community, including recreation and continuing education for all ages and groups.
  • Make available school and community facilities and all other resources to all age groups from the total community on a 24 hour basis, year-round.
