School board members sit on a number of board-approved committees, for which agendas and meetings are posted.  These committees may be made up of parents, other members of the community, faculty and administration.  All sessions for the following three committees are open to the public.

Policy Advisory Committee The policy committee reviews policy and recommends changes.  The committee also oversees the three-year review cycle for policies.  Changes recommended by the committee are presented to the Board of Directors for approval. Board representatives: Trent Murphy and Pat Cahill The committee meets once monthly from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Administration Office

School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC) This committee considers curriculum, staff development, student achievement and other similar topics that may be acted upon by the Board of Directors.   Board representatives: Pat Cahill and Trent Murphy SIAC meetings are held quarterly at the Administration Office from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

School-City Advisory Committee Board representatives: Andrew Martin, Leslie Petersen, Todd Shafer The School-City Committee meets quarterly and alternates locations between the School District’s Administration Office and City Hall.

In addition, the following committees include representation from the Board of Education.  Board members attend, participate in meetings, and provide reports to the board of education.  These meetings do not require a posted agenda and are not necessarily open to the public.
