Pat CahillBoard President Pat and her husband, Jim, moved to Ankeny in 1974, in part, due to the reputation of the Ankeny school system. All four of their children and two grandchildren graduated from Ankeny Schools. Five additional grandchildren are currently enrolled. Pat retired after 15 years at DMACC, serving in the department that provides college credit courses for high school students. Pat previously served on the Ankeny Board of Education for 12 years from 1993 to 2005. She decided to run again in 2008 because she felt strongly about being a part of the planning process to address the growth in the Ankeny school system.
