Four New Directors Seated on Ankeny Board of Education
| On Monday, September 19, the Ankeny Community School District welcomed four new Board members; Dustin Graber, Brad Huss, Stephanie Jorgensen, and Mike Rooney. The four new members were elected to the Board of Education on Tuesday, September 13, and join Pat Cahill, Todd Shafer and George Tracy, completing the 2011-2012 School Board. Results of the election were canvassed and are as follows:
The new Directors were sworn in and seated during a 5:00 PM organizational meeting, and election of officers was held. George Tracy was unanimously elected to serve as the Board President for 2011-2012. Pat Cahill was unanimously elected to serve as the Vice President. Dr. Craig Hansel was re-appointed as the Board’s secretary/treasurer. During the meeting, Board President Tracy recognized outgoing Board members Aaron Johnson, Andrew Martin, Trent Murphy and Leslie Petersen for their years of service on the Ankeny School Board.
